Amine Iron Oxide Nanoparticles

Ocean NanoTech's Amine Iron Oxide Nanoparticles are superparamagnetic particles with excellent colloidal stability and biocompatible coating for biomedical applications including: in-vivo magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), magnetic particles imaging (MPI), magnetic sensing for in-vitro diagnostics, small molecular drug delivery, immunotherapy, hyperthermia, adjuvant for vaccine, etc. These particles are nanosized (5-30 nm) iron oxide nanoparticles with amine groups. Oligonucleotides, antibodies, or other ligands with primary amine, carboxyl or thiol groups can be easily coupled to the nanoparticles. Activation through Sulfo-SMCC or glutaraldehyde is required. With excellent colloidal stability and unique surface coating, the amine magnetic nanoparticles exhibit high binding capacity and low non-specific binding of protein or nucleic acids.

Ocean NanoTech’s amine functionalized iron oxide nanoparticles are also available in an easy-to-use kit format to make it easier for researchers to conjugate antibodies, proteins, peptides or other biomolecules of their own choice to these iron oxide nanoparticles. The kit contains sufficient reagents & components for performing 5 conjugation reactions using 1.25 mg magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles per reaction. Briefly, the iron oxide nanoparticles are activated using Sulfo-SMCC (succinimidyl 4-(N-maleimidomethyl) cyclohexane-1-carboxylate) followed by conjugation to thiol groups that are present on the target protein/ligands.
